Computer simulations can bring significant benefits to the fire safety design process but we believe it's essential that the interpretation of results is entrusted to professional engineers with wide experience of fire safety and a thorough understanding of the limitations of the models.

Tenos can employ a wide range of computer models to quantify fire and its effects. These include full in-house capabilities to analyse fire and smoke movement (including CFD), evacuation modelling and the fire performance of structures.

These simulation techniques have been put to effective use on a wide variety of projects. Some examples are illustrated below in Figures 1-3.
